Congrats to all on an amazing Section meet!!

WOW! What an incredible meet! We had so many personal bests, and it was amazing to see the girls’ smiles as they cheered each other on and competed with heart. We scored points in every event and brought home medals in 9 of the 12 events—finishing in third place, just 2 points behind Moorhead!

It has truly been an honor to coach this group of young ladies. The season has flown by, and it’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end. I’m so excited about the future of this team and what’s to come!

The Booster Club has shared the banquet details, but before we dress up and celebrate, we have one more big meet ahead—the Class AA State Meet! Hailey and Madilyn have both qualified and will be representing the Elks in diving at the University of Minnesota later this week. Congrats!! We’d love to see anyone who can make the trip to cheer on not only our Elks but all of the 8AA state qualifiers. It’s sure to be an incredible experience with some fantastic competition!  Here are details for the entire meet. 

Class AA State Meet Schedule:

Thursday, November 13th: AA State Diving Preliminaries:

  • Location: U of MN - Jean Freeman Aquatic Center
  • Team Check-in: 4:30-5:50pm
  • Diving Warm-Up (7AA and 8AA Divers): 5:00-5:30pm
  • Open Board: 5:30-5:50pm
  • Meet Start: 6:00pm
  • Tickets: $9, general admission – these appear to be on sale now as I just went on and added some to the cart and it was open. However, the information sent to us states they will go on sale on Tuesday, November 11th.

Friday, November 14th: AA State Swimming Prelims

  • Location: U of MN - Jean Freeman Aquatic Center
  • Warm-ups/ Team Check-in: 4:30-5:50pm
  • Meet Start: 6:00pm
  • Tickets: $12, reserved seating – these tickets go on sale on Wednesday, November 12th at Noon

Saturday, November 15th: AA State Meet Swimming and Diving Finals

  • Location: U of MN - Jean Freeman Aquatic Center
  • Warm-ups/ Team Check-in: 4:30-5:50pm
  • Meet Start: 6:00pm
  • Tickets: $12, reserved seating – these tickets go on sale on Wednesday, November 12th at Noon

Ticket Timeline:

  • Here is the link to the Girls Swimming and Diving MSHSL page which includes the program, spectator handout and ticket information. All ticket sales are online, there are NO on-site ticket sales. Public Open Reserved Seating Sales for Swimming Prelims and Swimming and Diving Finals will begin on Wednesday November 12th at NOON.
  • They will NOT be selling programs at the meet, so you will need to print one off prior to coming if you would like one. These have not been added to the site as of yet, but should be there by tomorrow night (located same place as link to the state tournament page linked above).

They will release all the tickets that were not purchased with the open reserve seating on Wednesday, November 12th at Noon.

Parking:

Plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling to and around the University campus! Parking is available in parking ramps/lots near and around the East Bank campus.

The following lots/ramps are near the Aquatic Center:

  • Washington Street Parking Ramp
  • University Avenue Parking Ramp (directly adjacent to the Aquatic Center on the south side)
  • Fourth Street Ramp (corner of 4th St. SE and 17th Ave. SE)
  • Lot 37 on 5th Street (two blocks north of the Aquatic Center)

Can't make it, but want to watch? The meet will be livestreamed!

Streaming by Neighborhood Sports Programming Network (formerly PrepSpotlight/ SchoolSpace)

  • You can access the meet via a monthly or yearly subscription only. $30 for a yearly subscription or $10 for a month.
  • This is a great deal as it not only gives you access to ALL meet sessions (Class A and AA), but also any other MSHSL sports they are streaming!
