Section 8AA Meet Information

November 2nd

Hi Everyone, 

I am excited to send out the 8AA Section Meet Information!  For those of you that would like to come and cheer, we would love to see you in the stands! Work with others for carpool options!  If you prefer the livestream option, they will have that as well.  Please see the information below with details. 

Section Meet Information

GIRLS SECTION 8AA SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Date: Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th, 2025
  • Location: Brainerd High School Aquatic Center, 702 South 5th Street, Brainerd

SPECTATORS:

Spectator Gates Open:

  • Friday, Swimming Prelims: Building opens 3:30 PM, Pool Gallery opens 4:00 PM
  • Saturday, Diving Prelims and Semis AND Swimming & Diving Finals:11:00 AM

They will NOT clear the spectator area prior to the FINALS session on Saturday. If you come to watch diving, you will be given a stamp for re-entry. You should be there EARLY if you want a particular seat. Other notes they sent out:

  • No sectioning off parent/ fan seating areas.
  • You cannot leave any items in the stands Friday night to save seats for Saturday. All items will be cleared out.
  • No signs on the glass or railings in the bleacher area.
  • Concessions will be available both days.
  • T-Shirts will be on sale both days.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Swimming Prelims: Friday, November 7th, 2025

  • NOON: Section Athletes should be at VMS Pool Parking Lot
  • 12:15pm: Bus Leaves from VMS Pool Parking Lot
  • 2:30 PM: The bus will unload at Brainerd High School Aquatic Center (parking lot gets very busy so we will unload and head into the school along with the other teams)
  • 2:30 PM: Pool and Locker Rooms Open
  • 3:00 PM – 4:50 PM: Warm-ups
    • Diving Warm-up: 3:00 – 4:50 PM 
    • Diving well is open for diving warmups only
  • 4:50 PM: Pool will be cleared to prepare for competition
    • Diving well will open for cool down/ warm-up during the meet for swimming. 
  • 5:00 PM: Swimming Preliminaries Begins

Other Notes:

THERE WILL BE NO DIVING PRACTICE AFER THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEET.

PARENTS: PLEASE BE AT THE POOL TO PICK UP YOUR SWIMMER WHEN THE BUS ARRIVES BACK FROM PRELIMS. We will have athletes text parents the approximate arrival time when we are on the way home. It is very important so athletes will get home, get to bed and be ready for finals on Friday!

Diving Prelims and Semifinals: Saturday, November 8th, 2025

  • 9:30 AM: Pool and Locker Rooms Open
  • 10 AM: Diving Warm-Ups Begin in assigned flights
    • Flight 1 (10:00 - 10:45 AM) Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd, Moorhead
    • Flight 2 (10:45 - 11:30 AM) Buffalo, Elk River, Rogers, STMA
  • 11:30 - 11:55 AM: Open Board
  • 11:55 AM: Diver & Official Meeting (behind the diving board)
  • NOON: Diving Preliminary Meet Begins
    • Diving Prelims, Semis should end approximately 2:00-2:30 PM

Swimming and Diving Finals: Saturday, November 8th, 2025

  • 11:30 AM: Section Swim Athletes should be at VMS Pool Parking Lot
  • 11:45 AM: Bus Leaves from VMS Pool Parking Lot
  • 2:30 PM – 3:50 PM: All Warm-ups
    • Diving Warm-Ups for Diving Finalists: 2:30 – 3:50 PM
  • 3:50 PM: Pool will be cleared to prepare for competition.
    • Diving well will open for cool down/ warm-up during the meet for swimming...  closed for brief warm-up for divers prior to their event.
  • 4:00 PM: Swimming and Finals Meet Begins
