Week #3 - Dual Meet Season Kick Off!
Week #3
Happy Sunday!
What a wonderful week #2! We competed at the Conference Relays on Thursday and ended up taking FIRST PLACE! We approached the meet with the purpose of giving our athletes a chance to compete again, have fun and cheer on their teammates. The girls had a great time; we couldn’t be prouder of them for the way they attacked their races and dives and cheered each other on! It was wonderful to get back to competing! We had some wins, come from behind awesome races and personal bests already. WOW, it was a great start to the season!
We completed our last double practice on Friday and look forward to our practice time shifting to the afternoon this week. Please pay specific attention to the times on the google doc. Please note, practices will gradually get tougher as we build our base for the weeks to come.
We look forward to hosting our first NWSC Dual Meet this week on Thursday against Andover. It is Parents Night, and we hope that all parents/ guardians and other fans can attend to celebrate our athletes, and parents/ guardians. We thank you for all the work you do and time you commit to help them be a student athlete. It is no easy task, and we are very grateful!
Please see the Master Schedule Google Doc for our schedule this week. I have attached a screenshot for Week #3 as well.
Labor Day Practices (Saturday and Monday): These are optional! I would love to see the athletes at one or both the Saturday and/ or Monday practices, but I do respect your time as a family and if you have plans for Labor Day Weekend, enjoy! If you would, please send a note to practice with your athlete this week so I can anticipate the number of athletes at each practice. If numbers are very low, we may cancel one or the other. This has not been the case in the past, but just in case I wanted to let you know.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. As a reminder, please be at the pool no later than 10 minutes after the practice end time to pick up your athlete. We do have one coach stay until all athletes are picked up, but we are anxious to get home and be with our families as well. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
